About the teacher:
     She has lived in Tokyo Japan for 11 yrs, the majority of the time as a child. She attended Seishin International School in Hiroo, Tokyo, Japan completing the 5th Grade. At the age of 20 she returned to work in Tokyo, where she began her ESL training. She has been teaching English as a Second Language since her return to Chicago in 1982. She also majored in Asian Studies at Mundelein College in Chicago. Besides teaching English, she also does simultaneous interpreting work for clients. You may inquire about private lessons or interpreting services by calling her home number listed above. At present, she is a supervisor for Dist. 214's Read to Learn program (adult literacy) in addition to the American Living classes.

Two Field Trips:
    Mt. Prospect Police/Fire Department
    Jewel Food Store, Mt. Prospect

One Visit from a professional:
    Dr. J. Rana (Chiropractor) visited us and talked about visiting hospitals, taking medication (reading labels) and vitamins. Of course he also talked about his practice of chiropractic medicine.

    Goebberts Pumpkin Farm
    Arlington Htsl Historical Museum
    :Arlington Standard (auto mechanic) visits us and talks about taking care of your car especially for the coming winter.
    Chicago Downtown Christmas Shopping (by train and bus)**
