About the teacher: She has lived in Tokyo Japan for 11 yrs, the majority of the time as a child. She attended Seishin International School in Hiroo, Tokyo, Japan completing the 5th Grade. At the age of 20 she returned to work in Tokyo, where she began her ESL training. She has been teaching English as a Second Language since her return to Chicago in 1982. She also majored in Asian Studies at Mundelein College in Chicago. Besides teaching English, she also does simultaneous interpreting work for clients. At present, she is a supervisor for Dist. 214's Read to Learn program (adult literacy) in addition to the American Living classes. | |||
